The Oracle

The Positive Characteristics of the number Twelve:

Breadth of vision, expansive outlook, kindness and consideration.

Twelve represents the capability for deep insight and a perception that removes all bias and doubt.

Often, we find an enhanced sensitivity, and the active Twelve will find it difficult living with others who do not respect nature or their surroundings. Service to a higher cause is their watchword.

The Negative Characteristics of the number Twelve:

Negative Twelves abuse friendships, and play mind games.

They reverse from a concept of service to a calculated and ruthless sense of self service.

People are seen as minions to serve them, and only when you are subservient to them will they appear to give you any form of recognition.

Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, the Twelve months of the year, the Twelve hours for day and night, the base Twelve math system of the ancient Egyptians, the base 60 (5 x 12) math of the Sumerians, and Twelve notes of the musical scale. So much emphasis on Twelve.

Twelve is the completion of the cycle. It represents the ability to grasp the entire sequence of the Noumenal Order, and then BE it. This is Self Mastery at its highest level, and this is the key to the Number Twelve.

You rarely see the Twelve stressed as being important in any of the Numerology books, and yet it is the most important number of all! The energy of the Twelve, however, has so rarely been completed in the average Noumenal chart, that for the most part it may as well remain invisible, which is interesting for this is exactly its essential characteristic.

The ability to be unseen and unheard.

If the Twelve is strong in a reading, you must judge for yourself whether it is worth mentioning or not. Unless a person has high aspirations, often it is best to say nothing beyond asking what the persons goals are, and, if they are common ones, suggesting that they have the potential for more.

Twelve represents the dedication of an individual to God. If the vibration is strong, they will have seen in their contemplations, or perhaps in the time where they were dropping off to sleep, the great Single Eye. This is the ancient archetypal signature that represents this.

Unless someone is ready, talking about the importance of the Twelve energy tends to only enhance the ego, thus making a difficult journey just that much harder.

On this point, it seems almost a prerequisite that those destined for higher growth seem to have enormous egos at the outset. This is likely because of the habit of comparison that comes with enhanced mental ability. It has been particularly strong in the 1900’s, but even more so in the Years 2000 because the Two is the eternal shopper and comparer.

This will accent ego difficulties, split personalities and poor self esteem.

As a result, the indication is that the Mind Sciences will enjoy a boom period coming into the years 2000. It would be helpful if we understood that those with large egos need them for their own protection, to help cement the dichotomous struggle they feel is tearing them apart inside.

Ego is not a dirty word, but Ego is not the natural personality of the child.

The true attainment of the spiritual state requires that the individual may, on demand, set aside both Ego and Personality to become an Impersonal Channel for the higher truth. This is very much the power of the Twelve.

It is the power of neutrality. If a person does not hold its energy, the Twelve adds down to a Three. A Twelve so affected will have a great desire to create, but that does not mean they have the talent to create anything worthwhile. However, the Twelve into Three is a powerful catalyst. It will trigger off change and growth in those around them.

In one sense the Twelve is the catalyst of the Noumenal Order, and any creative individual who is married or in partnership with someone who carries this Twelve vibration will greatly benefit by it. It is important to note that the Twelve never makes itself obvious, but that its presence will set things in motion if, and only if, those around it decide to get motivated and start manifesting. The Twelve energy is a Verb, it is active.

When surrounded by dull or insipid people, the presence of the Twelve will actually inhibit experience and growth, creating not a catalytic action, but one of an increasing negative inertia. It becomes a question of Physics: "What would happen if, in a state of no conflicting forces, an unstoppable object were to collide with an immovable object?"

The answer is simple, and it is the answer to the riddle of the Twelve. The force from one energy TRANSFERS to the next.

Twelve is like a carrier wave that allows energy to shift, transmute, and transfer from one state to the next.

If we are simply what we are, then all that we do will take on the character of our beingness. This adds to beingness, and creates a new moment of experience. If we are of service to life, we move gracefully into the new state of Being that comes as a result of our actions. I am tempted to utilise the word "perfection" to describe the Twelve, but this implies an ending, something finished and complete. The Twelve is exactly the opposite, for it symbolises each moment as a new beginning.

This then is the character of the Twelve, that of the Spring of Everlasting Life, the River of Consciousness, and the Ocean of Love and Mercy, all as a single whole.

Naturally, this is beyond most people’s conceptions or desire, and thus much of the value of the Twelve is like the spilled water over the brim of the glass. But every now and then we meet that special Soul who might benefit from our words, and so it is very important that we, at all times, remember that this tone, this vibration of Twelve, is the ladder where we common Souls might reach up and touch the Divine.
